WordPress Developer

As a WordPress Developer Manager at Tobams Group, you will lead a team of developers, overseeing the design, development, and management of WordPress websites. You will be responsible for ensuring the team delivers high-quality websites that meet client requirements and adhere to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of WordPress developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of WordPress websites, ensuring they meet client specifications and project deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers and designers to translate client requirements into functional WordPress websites.
- Customise and extend existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet project needs.
- Implement responsive design principles and ensure seamless user experiences across different devices.
- Monitor and optimise website performance and security through code optimization and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress updates, trends, and emerging technologies in web development.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the delivery of high-quality websites.
- Address and resolve any WordPress issues or conflicts that arise during the development process.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a WordPress developer with a strong understanding of WordPress and its best practices.
- Experience managing a team of developers, and providing mentorship and guidance.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques and SEO best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Deep understanding of the WordPress admin panel and common WordPress issues.
- Ability to commit to a full-time position.
